We are working with this well known 4 star hotel near Chester and recruiting for a Sous Chef to join their kitchen team.
The hotel has approx 40 bedrooms with a 60 cover restaurant and events/wedding space for approx 120 guests.
You will be working as a Sous Chef working with the Head Chef to assist and support the kitchen team and be able to offer training and development to the junior team members,also to manage the kitchen on days off and holidays and manage all of the kitchen duties including stock controls,food safety and health and hygiene.
This is a hands on role and the food is fresh,seasonal and generally local produce being used with a modern British menu on offer with some classical updates.
Also the venue is popular in the local area and has approx 50 weddings per year,there is a Afternoon Tea menu on offer in the hotel with a traditional Sunday lunch being served.
The Sous Chef role will work as part of this team of chefs and 2 KP’s to ensure and deliver the high standards required and to have the ability to work at a consistent levels required.
Working as part of the team and the various corners of the kitchen and be able to cover all sections when required working with the Head Chef in the day to day kitchen management and to achieve required food gp margins and the kitchen costs for wages etc.
Also you will be offered ongoing training and development for your career and a key aspect of the role is a 4 day working week with a full team is being considered.
