Sous Chef – Portsmouth area
£42,000 plus share of tips,company benefits
This 4 Star hotel located in a great area of Portsmouth with superb views of the surrounding countryside and ocean are presently looking for enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join their kitchen team.
The hotel offers approx 80 bedrooms with a 100 + cover restaurant and various rooms for meetings/events./conferences and weddings.
There is also a casual dining area and main lounge serving snacks and afternoon teas etc
As a Sous Chef you will need to have a good hotel background that has a good strong conferencing and banqueting experience as well as be able to manage the hotel restaurant.
Making sure food is up to the required standards and is produced on time and to the agreed budgets for food costs.
Also to manage the control of food stock & food GP margins and the ordering of food from the suppliers.
Work within budgets maintaining HACCP records accordingly and to manage & maintain health and hygiene procedures in line with required standards and to achieve 4/5 stars for inspections.
Running the kitchen with the Head Chef and also work with the team members and to deliver ongoing training and development pf the kitchen team.
Be thorough and well organised and also approachable at all times with the hotel staff and to create a positive working environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
