This 120 + bedroom group hotel based in central Manchester are looking to recruit for a hands on Sous Chef to join their kitchen team.

The operation consists of 100 cover casual dining restaurant serving all fresh and seasonal produce as well as a number of M&E rooms with the largest suite for over 150 guests and other meeting/boardrooms rooms across the hotel.

The hotel offers a modern British menu with French influences and is well known for offering guests a different dining experience than most hotel restaurants and this is also the same within the M&E areas of the hotel for weddings,events etc and always to the same high standards.

As Sous Chef you are part of the management of the operation and will be working with the Head Chef and kitchen brigade in a hands on role and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.

You will be able to ensure a consistently high quality of food,also you will be aware of all food safety and hygiene standards at work to ensure a 5 star rating on the next inspection.

Also working to achieve the food GP margins along with management of stock controls as well as food purchasing and wages.

Reporting direct to the Head Chef and also General Manager and as part of the hotel management team you will be required to attend various hotel management and HOD meetings etc.
