Sous Chef – Manchester area  

We are working with a highly regarded restaurant and bar operation based in central Manchester who are looking to recruit for a hands on Sous Chef to be part of the kitchen management team.

The venue is part of a growing and expanding group with various locations across the Manchester,Liverpool and other locations and is seen as a real hospitality innovator and this location offers a good quality of food serving casual modern British food that is all prepared fresh and offers from burgers to steaks and caters to a wide variety of clientele and open all day.

The kitchen team consists of a Head Chef,2 Sous Chefs and then a brigade of approx 10 in total as well as KP’s and your role is to work with and assist the Head Chef to ensure the food standards are always maintained as well as being able to manage the team and offer support through training and development.

Also the operation has a very busy bar and attracts trade throughout the day and with the central location this varies through the week with the local offices then a busy operation at weekends and evenings.

Working as part of the team and the various corners of the kitchen and deliver the standards required at all times,to support the Head Chef in the day to day kitchen management and to also food safety standards as well as achieving required food gp margins and the kitchen costs for wages etc.

Also you will be offered ongoing training and development for your career.

The role will suit someone looking for a more senior kitchen management role and further career development.
