Sous Chef – Hotel Guernsey

This superbly appointed 4 star boutique hotel are presently looking for a Sous Chef to join their kitchen team on the beautiful island of Guernsey.

The hotel with it’s design furnished bedrooms also offers 2 rosette dining in the restaurant and also caters to all day casual dining market and has facilities for weddings and events for up to 100 guests in the main suite and boardrooms.

The food is all fresh and seasonal and as much as possible using local produce with a modern British menu with French influences and also similar for the function menus.

As a Sous Chef your role will be to work with and be part of the team and work in various corners of the kitchen and be able to produce a good standard of food in line with the company requirements and SOP’s and also to support the Head Chef in the day to day kitchen management and to ensure food safety standards are maintained as well as achieving required food gp margins and the kitchen costs for wages etc.

Also you will be offered ongoing training and development for your career as well as 2 days off per week and work 5 days over 7 on a rota basis.

The role will suit someone looking for a 1st time Sous Chef appointment and working presently as a Junior Sous or Senior Chef de Partie
