Sous Chef – Matlock area

£33k/£36k basic salary,with tips approx £3k per annum,company pension,company discounts and staff discount at company operations,training and career development

The client based in great location in beautiful Peak District area close to the local services and road network are presently recruiting for a hands-on Sous Chef to assist and support the Head Chef in the day to day kitchen operations and to help maintain their standards for their restaurant at this gastro pub with rooms operation.

You will be working with the team to create a positive work environment for the kitchen team and also be able to develop the same with all departments for an inclusive working venue.

As Sous Chef ensuring the food is served to the company standards at all times and all health & safety aspects of the business are compliant & undertake the training/recruitment of future kitchen team members ranging from KP’s to all levels of chefs in the kitchen.

The venue offers and all day dining menu with traditional British food with modern influences using mainly fresh,local and seasonal food as well as in the summer offering an outside area for food and drinks.

The client requires the Sous Chef to work a 45 hour week over 5 days, shift start times can vary depending on the needs and requirements of the business.
