This 150 + bedroom group hotel based close to Manchester city centre are recruiting for a hands on Kitchen Manager/Head Chef to join their kitchen team.
The operation consists of 120 cover branded restaurant working with a core company brand menu so you will need to be able to apply and follow company SOP’s to ensure a consistent standard of each menu item and then working within the M&E areas of the hotel with input into menus for each clients needs and specific requirements.
The hotel restaurant is based on British menus within a grill concept and using company suppliers for consistency of the product and for the conference and events areas using mainly fresh produce and to ensure to achieve the company food gp margins.
As Kitchen Manager/Head Chef you are part of the management of the operation and will be working with the kitchen team in a hands on role and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will be able to ensure a consistent standard of food,also you will be aware of all food safety and hygiene standards at work to ensure a 5 star rating on the next inspection.
Also work consistently towards the food GP margins,wage costs along with management of stock controls as well as food purchasing.
Reporting direct to the General Manager and as part of the hotel management team be required to attend HOD meetings etc.
