Presently recruiting for this hotel based in great rural location near Ipswich for this well appointed operation with approx 60 + bedrooms with various F&B/M&E within the venue.
The client is recruiting for a General Manager to oversee and manage the business day to day.
The services include the following which is a 100 cover restaurant and main bar and lounge as well as events and function spaces for up to 200 guests and also offers great leisure,spa and nearby golf available.
The client is looking for a hands on person to lead and work with the operational team to ensure great customer service at all times,also manage the business to ensure to achieve the hotel budget and profit margins agreed.
You will work with and assist the HOD’s to create a positive working environment for all team members including casual and part time staff and offer training and development of the teams and departments.
Working with the sales and revenue teams as well as finance and to control the costs associated with labour,purchasing etc.
Report to the Regional Director with regular communication through face to face meetings as well as telephone conversations to ensure the business is running to the standards,costs etc to deliver the profits set out in the budgets.

– Oversee daily operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning
– Provide exceptional hospitality and guest services to ensure guest satisfaction
– Manage and coordinate all hotel departments, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage
– Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and minimize costs
– Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene throughout the hotel
– Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
– Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
– Train and supervise staff members, providing guidance and support as needed
– Collaborate with human resources to recruit, hire, and train new employees
– Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and employee growth
– Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hotel industry
– Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest interaction
– Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
– Strong problem-solving abilities to address guest concerns or operational issues
– Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
– Familiarity with hotel management software systems for reservations, billing, and reporting
