Events Manager – Liverpool
£32k,benefits,bonus,company pension,12 months fixed term contract
Presently recruiting for a key role in this group hotel in the heart of Liverpool for a hands on Events Manager to join the hotel management team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The hotel has over 100 bedrooms with multiple F&B areas which includes an award winning restaurant for both residents and guests,there is also various meeting rooms with the largest suite catering for up to 300 + guests and rooms available from 2 guests and up and is a popular venue due to it’s location close to the local business’s and the corporate as well as local residential clients who use the hotel.
You will be managing the team and ensure and maintain standards at all times and lead and support the team day to day and assist the General Manager and senior management team and deliver a great guests service at all times.
Also a key area is to manage the costs in the department with liquor controls,wage costs and to achieve agreed sales targets,so you will need to be commercially aware and able to work with the team to deliver these key targets.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate the M&E operations
– Ensure a consistency of standards for the service through the department
– Manage and train the teams and offer on going training and development
– Oversee inventory management for all wines,spirits and all dry goods and to work with the agreed stock levels and achieve an agreed wet GP margin
– Maintain and create staff rota’s and manage the wage costs
– Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of F&B and general hospitality techniques and practices
– Excellent leadership and team management skills
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
