Hotel Bar Manager nr Southampton

£42k,substantial service charge,group benefits and discounts at other company venues across UK,pension,training and development.

We are working with this prestigious hotel venue in great location in the area with great views of the local area and recruiting for a high end ,experienced Bar Manager.

The hotel has a number of bars within this luxury hotel with high end cocktail bar as well as events bars across the hotel.

You will oversee the bar operations in this vibrant hospitality environment that attracts guests from the local area and caters to the leisure and corporate markets.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supervising staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of quality.

This role is pivotal in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while managing the daily operations of the bar.

Duties

  • Supervise and train bar staff to ensure excellent service and adherence to company standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages, ensuring consistency in quality.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and controlling stock to minimise waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly food safety standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and preparation for bar menus.
  • Develop new cocktail recipes and beverage offerings that align with current trends.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, striving for resolution to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor financial performance, including sales tracking and budgeting for bar operations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food production, food preparation, and culinary practices.
  • Familiarity with health regulations and food safety standards is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff alike.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.
  • Previous experience in hotel or restaurant management is an advantage.
