Working with this luxury 4 star Worcestershire hotel who are part of a small expanding luxury group and recruiting for a hands on Head Chef to join and lead their kitchen team.
The hotel is in a unique location of the area and offers bespoke services with the rooms catering for over 100 guests as well as the F&B facilities which includes a 80 cover restaurant overlooking the gardens of the hotel grounds as well as events and function areas of the hotel with it also being a popular venue for weddings for up to 100 guests,
The Head Chef role is to work and support and lead the kitchen team in the day to day operations and to ensure and deliver a consistency and quality of the food served to guests at all times.
The food is modern British using fresh,seasonal and local produce and the main area of the F&B is in the hotel restaurant serving the hotel guests who are generally from leisure visiting the local area with some corporate business.
There is a 80% sleeper/diner ratio and the hotel is also a popular venue for traditional Afternoon Teas.
You will work with the team and offer ongoing training and development to all team members and also create a positive work environment for the kitchen team as well as working in close relationship with the F&B team and the hotel staff and management in general.
Be able to manage all aspects of the kitchen including writing menus for the restaurant as well as for events and weddings,manage kitchen costs and all food safety and hygiene and to achieve a minimum of 4 stars for any EHO inspections.
Report direct to the General Manager and be part of the senior team of the hotel and attend HOD meetings.
