New vacancy for Head Chef, Wirral region

Head Chef required for this lovely 4 star hotel based on the Wirral.

This client in what must be one of the best located hotels in the area is looking for a hands on Head Chef to join their kitchen team.

This is a 4 star hotel with approx 35 bedrooms that offers a casual dining restaurant using all fresh and seasonal produce and you as the Head Chef will be responsible to create and develop each menu item and in addition 6 M&E rooms with the largest for over 200 guests and is a popular location for weddings,events etc within the local area.

The food is considered to at least a 1 rosette standard and the General Manager is looking to maintain this or more moving forward and to be able to work with the team and develop each individual with ongoing training and development.

As Head Chef and as part of the senior management of the operation you will have an involvement in the day to day kitchen operations but also with decision making for the hotel and to ensure and create a safe and enjoyable working environment and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.

You will have involvement in all aspects of the kitchen which will include developing and writing menus,also dealing with suppliers and ensuring you are getting the best produce,also working to achieve the agreed targets which includes Food GP,wage costs and the general hygiene and legal areas of the kitchen.

Reporting direct to the General Manager this role will suit an individual who is looking to move away from central menus,suppliers etc.

£38k,bonus and benefits.
