Presently recruiting for this 4 star hotel in great location in the Preston/Blackburn region for a Head Chef to join the senior team and lead the kitchen.
This hotel is in a great location,semi rural but also close to the major road networks of the area.
The hotel has 60 + bedrooms with an award winning restaurant as well as various meeting and event rooms for conferences,weddings and functions with the largest room catering for approx 150 + guests.
Due to have some outside space the hotel does have a great wedding market and also attracts the local clientele of the area.
The Head Chef role is managing all the day to day kitchen operations and working with a team to ensure and maintain standards at all times.
Working to support the team through on job training as well assisting to develop their knowledge and to create a positive team environment both in the kitchen team as well as with the F&B team to deliver great food and service.
The food is all fresh and seasonal and the client is looking to develop this further and you will be writing and developing menus for the restaurant as well as for the events,.weddings etc.
Manage all cost controls as well as hygiene standards and all food safety in line with EHO etc.
Reporting to the General Manager and as part of the senior team,be able to create a positive working environment for all employees and team members.
The hotel is also going through a phased development and refurbishment.
