Head Chef – nr Portsmouth

Recruiting for this 4 star group hotel in the Portsmouth area for a hands on Head Chef to join their team.
The hotel has 70 + bedrooms as well as offering great dining facilities and also catering to the leisure and corporate market with various meeting rooms available from an event for 200 guests to a 1 2 1 boardroom meeting.
Well located in a great scenic area offering superb views of the local countryside and also access to the local road networks.
As Head Chef you will be managing all aspects of the day to day kitchen operations and working with and supporting the team,which consists of a Sous Chef,Jr Sous,Chef de Parties and other kitchen team members.
Food is a mix of modern British using as much local produce as possible and being able to cater to the intimate table for 2 through to a gala events for 150 guests in the largest suite.
Also working with the management team and attending HOD meetings when required and as well as offering support to all departments.
You will also be able to offer training and development to the kitchen team and ensure that all team members are assisting in terms of the quality of food being prepared and served as well as food hygiene and working to achieve the required food GP margins in line with the agreed targets.
