Presently recruiting for this 130 + bedroom group hotel close to Chester for a hands on Head Chef.
The role is to lead and manage the day to day kitchen operations in this busy venue that offers an all day dining restaurant for approx 120 covers,also C&B in various rooms with the largest capacity of 200 guests as well as other smaller meeting rooms.
The menu is branded for the main restaurant and offers a variety of dishes including traditional fish and chips,burgers and many other menu items.
In the meeting and events areas of the hotel there is also core branded menus for conference lunches and dinners with then some input required for creating menus for other events and weddings.
You will work with and support the team in the day to day operations and ensure and maintain good quality standards of food prepared and served as well as all health and hygiene to the required company standards as well as food safety standards for inspections to be to the highest standard possible.
Working with the team to create a positive working environment and a stable team,also offering training and development for each team member.
As Head Chef you are also responsible for achieving the food GP margins in line with company targets and also manage the food stock controls and wage costs etc.
As part of the senior management team in the hotel you will also create a positive working aspect with all HOD’s and a focus on F&B team members that you and your team will work closely with.
When required attend management meetings as well as be involved in menu planning with the Group Exec Chef with food development.
Reporting to the General Manager.
