Great new vacancy for a Head Chef in a beautiful rural location close to Chester approx 20 mins.
The venue offers a well known gastro pub that also offers space available for private parties,functions and events and is further benefitted by some great outdoor space.
The main restaurant caters for approx 80 covers and then also has a large bar area for approx 30 guests with light bites and limited menu available and then events area for a further 100 guests inside and approx a further 50 outside seating.
The location is very popular with the local market and also is well known so a lot of travelling trade as it has an excellent reputation.
As Head Chef you will be part of the senior management of the operation and working with a kitchen brigade to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will be involved in all aspects of the kitchen which will include writing menus,also dealing with local suppliers and ensuring you are getting the best produce,also working to achieve the agreed targets which includes Food GP,wage costs and the general hygiene and legal areas of the kitchen.
Reporting direct to the General Manager this role will suit an individual who is looking to move away from central menus,suppliers etc.
