Head Chef required for this beautifully appointed 4 star group hotel based in rural Cheshire approx 20 minutes from Chester.
This is a 4 star award winning hotel with approx 50 bedrooms that offers the guest a fine dining experience and also caters very successfully to the events and wedding markets and is able to offer luxurious services for up to 120 guest in the largest suite.
The food is all fresh,seasonal in all areas including for events and weddings and has regular menu changes for the restaurant through the year and as part of the role you will have the ability to write and develop menus.
The Group General Manager is looking for a person to take on the day to day management and work to achieve required food GP margins and also moving forward and to be able to work with the team and develop each individual with ongoing training and development.
As Head Chef and as part of the senior management of the operation you will have an involvement in the day to day kitchen operations but also with decision making for the hotel and to ensure and create a safe and enjoyable working environment and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will have involvement in all aspects of the kitchen which will include developing and writing menus,also dealing with suppliers and ensuring you are getting the best produce,also working to achieve the agreed targets which includes Food GP,wage costs and the general hygiene and legal areas of the kitchen.
Reporting direct to the General Manager this role will suit an individual who is looking to move away from central menus,suppliers etc.
