Presently working with this beautiful gastro pub with rooms located in a rural setting close to Cheltenham and the client is recruiting for a Head Chef to join their team.
This operation is part of an expanding group and the venue offers traditional gastro pub menu using all fresh,local and seasonal produce.
There are approx 15 bedrooms with food served throughout the venue this includes breakfast and is open to residents and non residents and serving the local areas finest produce.
There is then an all day dining menu offering classic Gastro pub items as well as some innovative dishes to a high standard,the operation also can cater for events,small weddings etc.
This will be a hands on role working with a small team of 5 chefs in total,full time KP and casual team members to support.
The operation is well placed to attract the local and transient markets to deliver great food and drinks and to drive and develop the business from it’s present position and to make it one of the landmarks in the local scene.
The Head Chef role is to lead the kitchen operation and team in the day to day business and ensure a high standard of food quality at all times working with fresh,seasonal produce and to enhance the guest care and experience at all times.
Working with a focused and dedicated team to assist you and you support them with ongoing training and development and for each team member to take ownership of their role in the business.
Manage all the back of house including costs for wages,food stocks and controls and work to achieve an agreed food GP.
Working with the teams to ensure a positive environment for both kitchen and front of house teams and direct report to the General Manager.
