Head Chef – North Manchester 

This 80 bedroom group hotel based in the North Manchester area are looking to recruit for a hands on Head Chef to join their kitchen team.

The operation consists of 100 cover restaurant as well as a number of M&E rooms across the hotel with the largest with a capacity for up to 120 guests with other meeting rooms across the hotel.

The hotel offers within the restaurant a menu with modern British food generally using fresh produce and as Head Chef you will be involved in all aspects of menu writing,planning as well as costing to achieve required food GP margins and this will include for the M&E areas of the hotel for weddings,events etc and generally the main focus is standards of the food and all hygiene related areas of the kitchen.

As Head Chef you are part of the management of the operation and will be working with the kitchen brigade in a hands on role and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.

You will be able to ensure a consistently high quality of food,also you will be aware of all food safety and hygiene standards at work to ensure a 5 star rating on the next inspection.

Also work consistently towards the food GP margins along with management of stock controls as well as food purchasing.

Reporting direct to the General Manager and as part of the hotel management team be required to attend HOD meetings etc.
