We are presently looking to recruit for this 4 star 100 + bedroom group hotel based close to Manchester airport for a hands on Head Chef to join their kitchen team.
The hotel operation consists of multiple F&B outlets which includes 100 cover grill concept restaurant as well as a number of M&E rooms with the largest suite for over 200 + guests as well various other meeting rooms across the hotel and also offers guests a traditional Afternoon Tea and casual dining with the leisure and spa facility.
The hotel offers a traditional British menus at present using generally fresh produce and this is also same in the M&E areas of the hotel for weddings,events etc.
As Head Chef you are reporting to the Exec Chef who is part of the management of the operation and will be working closely with them to ensure a consistent quality of food in all areas and as well working with the kitchen brigade in a role to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will be able to ensure a consistently high quality of food,also you will be aware of all food safety and hygiene standards at work to ensure a consistent 5 star rating on all food inspections and also with the Exec Chef you will have the opportunity to write and develop the menus in all areas of the hotel..
Also work consistently towards the food GP margins along with management of stock controls as well as food purchasing.
Reporting direct to the Exec Chef and as part of the hotel management team be required to attend HOD meetings etc.
