Head Chef required for this 4 star group hotel based close to M6 Crewe/Stoke region.
This client in what must be one of the best located hotels in the area is looking for a hands on Head Chef to join their kitchen team.
This is a 4 star hotel with 120 bedrooms that offers a casual dining restaurant with approx 100 covers and in addition 10 M&E rooms with the largest for over 200 guests and is a popular location for conferences/weddings & events etc.
The food is all fresh and with menu changes through the year this is part of your role to write and develop menus in all areas of the operation.
The General Manager is looking for a person to take on the day to day management and work to achieve required food GP margins and also moving forward and to be able to work with the team and develop each individual with ongoing training and development.
As Head Chef and as part of the senior management of the operation you will have an involvement in the day to day kitchen operations but also with decision making for the hotel and to ensure and create a safe and enjoyable working environment and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will have involvement in all aspects of the kitchen which will include developing and writing menus,also dealing with suppliers and ensuring you are getting the best produce,also working to achieve the agreed targets which includes Food GP,wage costs and the general hygiene and legal areas of the kitchen.
Reporting direct to the General Manager this role will suit an individual who is looking to move away from central menus,suppliers etc.
£40k,bonus and benefits.
