Recruiting for this gastro pub with rooms operation for a Head Chef in this picturesque location in Cumbria.
The venue has approx 20 rooms all individually designed with a great F&B operation that serves great local food using local produce and all fresh.
You will be managing the team and ensure and maintain standards at all times,there is a small team of 4 and this is a key role and hands on.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate all activities in the kitchen
– Ensure food preparation and production meets high-quality standards
– Manage and train kitchen staff
– Oversee inventory management and ordering of food supplies
– Develop and maintain menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
– Collaborate with management to create new dishes and improve existing recipes
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
– Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
– Excellent leadership and team management skills
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Proficient in food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
– Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
– Creativity and ability to develop innovative menu items
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
