Presently recruiting for this privately owned catering and events company based near Shrewsbury in a rural location.
The client is looking for an experienced and motivated and detail-oriented Catering and Events Manager to join their management team.
The company base is their home with facilities on site to plan and develop all areas of the operation and then work across the various locations across the UK that their operation caters for,this includes stadium events,music festivals as well as horse racing veneus and offers superb food offering at these locations for up to 10000 people with some events based over multiple days.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and event planning, with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
As the Catering and Events Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing the events, ensuring that each occasion runs smoothly and meets the expectations of the client and guests alike.
Your role will involve liaising with site operators and vendors, managing budgets, and providing outstanding guest services to create memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
- Manage event budgets, including tracking expenses and negotiating with vendors to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Oversee logistics such as venue selection, catering needs and to confirm all logistics and transportation arrangements.
- Implement effective time management strategies to meet deadlines and ensure smooth event operations.
- Provide exceptional guest services during events, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event management or a related field within the event or stadium industry.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Demonstrated time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours as required by event schedules.
