Bar Manager – Cheshire
Presently working with this client who is recruiting for a hands on Bar Manager for a luxurious 4 star hotel in the Cheshire area approx 20 minutes from Chester.
The hotel is very well known and highly regarded and offers 150 + bedrooms also main hotel restaurant of 150 covers and large facilities for C&B in their various meeting rooms and can cater for over 200 + guests in 2 of the rooms as well as other meeting rooms within the hotel.
The role of the Bar Manager is to oversee the main hotel bar that caters for hotel guests pre and post dinner drinks,also serving teas,coffees etc throughout the day as well as being a manin hub for the hotel’s popular afternoon teas.
You will manage the day to day operations of the bar and lounge areas and ensure a high standard of guest care at all times.
Work with the team and offer ongoing training and development and the team consists of Assistant Manager,2 Supervisors and a mix of full time and casual team members.
You will manage the stock controls for the bar and order from central stores for all stock and manage the sales to achieve targets as well as the wet GP margins for the bar.
Working various shift patterns to ensure you are there during busy periods and be able to do staff rots in line with the department budget as well as being able to create and write cocktail menus and so be familiar with trends and create new items on a regular basis also in line with the seasons.
The hotel also has various activities including a high end spa and leisure facility as well as golf etc.
Reporting to the Deputy General Manager and also as part of the hotel management attend regular management meetings,HOD briefngs etc and Duty Manager shifts on a rota basis.
