Presently recruiting for a key role in this group hotel in the heart of Liverpool for a hands strategic Hotel Operations Manager to join the hotel management team and develop and shape the future of this well appointed hotel.
The hotel has over 100 bedrooms with a variety of F&B areas in the hotel with 100 cover restaurant,main hotel bar and lounge for hotel residents and guests,there are also various meeting rooms with the largest suite catering for up to 300 + guests for an event or function and each space is unique offering clients bespoke facilities in the leisure and corporate markets and also caters to weddings.
The hotel is a popular venue due to it’s location close to the local business’s and the corporate as well as local residential clients who use the hotel.
You will be managing the team and ensure and maintain standards at all times and lead and support the team day to day and assist the General Manager and senior management team and deliver a great guests service at all times.
Also a key area is to manage the costs in the department with liquor controls,wage costs and to achieve agreed sales targets,so you will need to be commercially aware and able to work with the team to deliver these key targets.
Assist and support the General Manager to achieve the hotel sales budgets and work closely with the sales teams and revenue management.
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate the operational teams and the department managers
– Ensure a consistency of standards of service through all departments of the hotel
– Manage and train the teams and offer on going training and development
– Oversee inventory management of all wines,spirits,food purchasing and stock controls,dry goods and linen stock to the agreed stock levels and achieve the various costs percentages in each department
– Maintain and oversee the hotel staff rota’s and manage the wage costs in all departments
– Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in a similar role
– Strong knowledge of F&B and general hospitality techniques and practices
– Excellent leadership and team management skills
– Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and customers
