Head Chef – nr Chester
This gastro pub operation located rurally approx 20 minutes from Chester in the heart of the Cheshire countryside are looking to recruit for a Head Chef to join their team.
The venue is part of a large group with hotel,pubs etc across the whole of the North West including Lancashire,Cheshire,Lake District and Wales with multiple operations offering 1st class hospality in each unit.
This venue has a casual all day dining restaurant for approx 80 covers as well as bar seating area for around 40 guests as well as an outside area that caters to both drinkers and a built in BBQ for good waether.
The main menu is a core brand and the Head Chef has the opportunity to add “Daily Specials” as well as using mainly fresh produce and this is what brings guests to the business.
As Head Chef working with a team of approx 6 which includes a Sous Chef,Chef de Partie and also kitchen porters with approx weekly food sales of £8k.
The hotel offers within the restaurant a branded menu with some potential input able for menus specials but generally the main focus is standards of the food offering and work to menu specs.
As Head Chef you are part of the management of the operation and will be working with the kitchen brigade in a hands on role and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will be able to ensure a consistently high quality of food,also you will be aware of all food safety and hygiene standards at work to ensure a 5 star rating on the next inspection.
Also work consistently towards the food GP margins along with management of stock controls as well as food purchasing.
Reporting direct to the General Manager and as part of the hotel management team be required to attend HOD meetings etc.
