I have now been involved directly and indirectly in the industry since a started catering college back in 1976,so next year that is 50 years ago.
I see many things these days on line about what the industry is,should be etc and how many people are experts.
My take is that it is like everything else in the work environment,that is it is never the same as it was before,it is constantly changing for many reasons and I saw a guy on the TV earlier who was saying how people have to be engaged differently in order to have some recognition of the work they do.
I agree with changes as that is how life is,we get older and see things differently and the upcoming generation feel their way is better and who are we to tell them no,it is their way end of.
So even communication is different and how we transfer details to each other and how we interact,again all different.
I am now getting old and sometimes wonder what would I do now,would I work the AFD’s and be spoken to the same ways that I have been in the past,I don’t know and why because it is exactly that in the past.
Anyway crack on as going to dentist shortly and again that is something that for me has changed,I used to deal with it now I just stress about it and to be fair ideally wouldn’t go but know it is for my benefit.
Things change and we need to adapt.
