Presently recruiting for this group 4 star hotel based approx 20 minutes outside of Chester in a beautiful rural location for a hands on Head Chef to lead the kitchen team.
The hotel has 40 + bedrooms with a 80 cover restaurant serving modern British cuisine as well as various events and functions spaces catering for up to 150 guests.
As Head Chef you will be working with and supporting the team in the day to day management of the kitchen and to ensure the quality and consistency at all times.
The menu is modern British using and serving as much local and seasonal produce as possible as well as being able to write the menus for the restaurant and also for the functions and events including for weddings with over 80 + per year in the hotel.
You will work with and support the team with ongoing training and development and to ensure a consistent standard at all times of the food preparation and presentation to the hotel guests in all areas of the hotel.
Manage the food hygiene standards as well as allergens and work to achieve 5 stars for food health inspections.
Also manage the food stocks,ordering and to achieve the agreed food GP margins at all times.
Reporting direct to the General Manager and working with the other hotel HOD’s to create a positive work environment and also work relationship for the benefit of the guest experience.
