This 120 + bedroom group hotel based in Manchester are recruiting for a hands on Head Chef to join their kitchen team.
The operation consists of 100 cover casual dining restaurant as well as a number of M&E rooms with the largest suite for over 200 guests as well various other meeting rooms across the hotel.
The hotel offers modern menus with many popular items including traditional food with food being available all day from breakfast through to the all day dining and is available to both hotel residents and the local population in the area.
The menus in all areas of the hotel will be written by the Head Chef along with some input from General Manager and will have menus for the restaurants and then varied for the M&E areas of the hotel for weddings,events,conferences etc.
As Head Chef you are part of the management of the operation and will be working with the kitchen brigade in a hands on role and to assist,support and offer ongoing training and development to each member of the team.
You will be able to ensure a consistent quality of food,also you will be aware of all food safety and hygiene standards at work to ensure a 5 star rating on the next inspection.
Also work consistently towards the food GP margins along with management of stock controls as well as food purchasing.
Reporting direct to the General Manager and as part of the hotel management team be required to attend HOD meetings etc.
