We are presently recruiting for a client near Henley in Arden who are recruiting for a key role for their management team.

The role is for a proactive Maintenance and Facilities Manager to lead the upkeep and operational services of the venue's facilities.

In this role, you will oversee maintenance activities, manage a team of technicians, and ensure that all building systems operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Your leadership will be vital in maintaining a safe environment, optimizing facility performance, and implementing innovative solutions to support our organizational growth.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about facility management, with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems as well as PPM knowledge and team supervision.

The operation consists of a 50 + bedroom hotel with extensive services including full leisure club and spa with approx 10 + treatment rooms offering a wide range of services to guests,there is also extensive F&B operations with restaurants,main lounge,bars etc

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise maintenance teams to perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across all facility systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Manage projects related to facility upgrades, repairs, or installations, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Oversee the operation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex automation or control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions for staff.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment inventories, and repair histories for accountability and planning purposes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects while maintaining quality standards.

Skills

  • Proven management skills with experience supervising maintenance teams or technical staff.
  • Strong project management abilities to plan, execute, and oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to diagnose issues efficiently across diverse systems.
  • Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and PLC programming for troubleshooting automation controls.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Experience in supervising maintenance operations within industrial or commercial facilities.
