Hotel General Manager nr Cardiff
£60k,benefits,pension,bonus
This client is looking for a Hotel Manager to join and lead their team and this 4 star 50 bedroom hotel with F&B that includes 80 cover restaurant,also has M&E for approx 150 guests in largest suite and caters also for guests with it's luxury leisure club and spa operation.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive the overall success of the hotel.
This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for hospitality. The Hotel General Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, managing staff, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the hotel's reputation and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, with front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage services,leisure,spa and maintenance team members.
- Supervise the HOD's and their teams to offer excellent service delivery in all areas of the hotel.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards in line with brand guidelines.
- Manage the hotel budget, costs, and optimise revenue streams to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and industry standards.
- Develop the teams in a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, staff development, and excellent morale.
- Handle guest complaints or issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to promote the hotel’s services and attract new clientele.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training opportunities for staff development.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and local community stakeholders.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication skills; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in human resources management including recruitment, training, and staff development.
- Outstanding guest service orientation with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.
- Leadership qualities that inspire motivation and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards, health & safety regulations, and legal compliance within the hospitality sector.
