Hotel General Manager - nr Inverness
£58k - £62k,bonus,pension,benefits
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel General Manager to lead the team at this luxury boutique hotel based near Inverness.
The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive the overall success of the hotel.
This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a passion for hospitality. The Hotel Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, managing staff, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the hotel's reputation and profitability.
Also a key aspect of this role is to assist and develop the overall F&B offering with a key aspect being to improve and showcase the restaurant food to award winning standards working with the Head Chef and brigade to enhance and create superb dishes using local,fresh and seasonal produce.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage services, and maintenance.
- Lead and supervise departmental managers and staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards in line with brand guidelines.
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimise revenue streams to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing laws, and industry standards.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, staff development, and high morale.
- Handle guest complaints or issues promptly to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the hotel’s services and attract new clientele.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training opportunities for staff development.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and local community stakeholders.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles.
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional communication skills; multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in human resources management including recruitment, training, and staff development.
- Outstanding guest service orientation with a focus on delivering memorable experiences.
- Leadership qualities that inspire motivation and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of industry standards, health & safety regulations, and legal compliance within the hospitality sector.
