We are working with an expanding client who is looking for an Events Operations Manager based in Liverpool.
This person will oversee the planning and execution of a variety of events across the companies venues in the Liverpool area.
You will possess excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and experience within the hospitality or related sectors such as restaurants or hotels.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead diverse events including weddings, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all aspects of event coordination, from initial planning to post-event evaluation, while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.
This role will require you to work from home for 2 days a week,travel to Head Office based near Leeds weekly during the probation period and the rest of the week you will be based at the venue to meet with clients and to deliver the event.
Duties
- Coordinate and oversee all elements of event planning for the clients event at one of the companies venues, this will include choosing of menus,wines and drinks choices and the tasting of the menu items according to the clients requirements.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost control whilst maximising guest satisfaction through upselling opportunities.
- Develop detailed event timelines and ensure all activities are executed on schedule.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and smooth operations.
- Supervise event staff and delegate tasks to ensure efficient service delivery during events.
- Handle guest services professionally, addressing any issues promptly to maintain a positive experience.
- Promote upselling of additional services or products to maximise revenue during events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and implement improvements for future occasions.
- Maintain organised records of event details, contracts, and client preferences for future reference.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event management within hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or fundraising sectors is highly desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for liaising effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to enhance revenue streams during events.
- Exceptional time management skills to ensure all aspects of event planning are completed efficiently.
- Experience in guest services and hospitality environments is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
