Chef de Partie - nr Andover area
£35k + with benefits,pension,service charge,development and training,also a 4 day working week is offered.
We are presently working with this high end gastro pub with rooms and the client is recruiting for a new team member at Chef de Partie level to come on board and join their expanding team.
The venues offers a great menu serving fresh,local and seasonal produce in their operation and the menu is served all day and also offers light bites during the day and of course breakfast for their hotel guests.
Their business is very popular with the local clientele as well as travelling customers visiting the area and has been able to develop an excellent reputation for it's 1st class food and service and also using all local suppliers to provide the best produce and this also includes for breakfast with the same philosophy of all fresh and local eggs,bacon,sausages etc.
As a key member of the brigade, you will have an attention to detail, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and ideally you have experience of all stations with the ability to produce a range of starters, mains and in this operation the opportunity to develop your skills in their pastry department and be offered training for this section.
You will also support the Head Chef and Sous Chef at all times and be able to manage and run your own sections and be able to cover most sections in the kitchen as well as being offered training and development to develop your skills.
Be a key part of the kitchen team and be able when needed to do some food ordering, stock management, as well as managing to achieve a 5-star rating as well as working with the kitchen team to create a skilled and highly trained brigade.
You will need previous experience in a fresh food environment, working with a passion for cooking & the chance to develop your skills and experience and with excellent training and career development.
- Assist the Head/Sous chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create and execute menu items
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet the restaurant's standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations
Experience
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes - Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to enforce them in the kitchen
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
