So another week disappears into the horizon and the weekend beckons with what looks like lot’s of sports happening all at the same time,Sunday is literally British GP,Wimbledon and also Cricket World Cup.
I think some bad planning or just good luck with a bit of British/English interest in at least 2 of the events,I state that cautiously as not to offend anyone.
Well as usual lot’s of jobs around and as always looking for candidates to work with seems to be the hard part of the market at present.
When you do find them they already have at least 4 things on going and you have to work hard to find them something they have not already applied for,but that is part of the job.
Well no fell runs this weekend just Park Run tomorrow and the wedding anniversary,18 years she deserves an award just for that and of course the 2 great children.

So quick update on this week and what is happening in the world of hospitality recruitment.
Yesterday away from work I did a fell run near Macclesfield which despite the views at the top being gorgeous with the sun shining and looking at the Cheshire countryside,my legs after the 200 metre + run/climb/walks told me that it was horrible,anyway as everyone told me at least I had done it,which was true and was in 49th position,wait a moment there were only 49 runners,never mind I did it.
My family did better than me and one daughter won a prize,great day and did enjoy but don’t tell anyone.
So this week I am looking for a Sous Chef for a gastro pub in Cheshire near Chester,also same for a 4 star hotel funnily enough close to the run yesterday,both salary from £28k.
Recruiting a Head Chef for a great venue restaurant in Chester £33k
Marketing Executive in Liverpool for a group £28k
Also recruiting a Sales Events Manager for a 4 star hotel in Liverpool £25k

So another week finishes in the world of recruitment,some ups and downs so nothing unusual.
To be honest bit like British sport,womens football sadly lost,womens cricket losing at present and then success in the mens cricket and a few British tennis players who have now won 2 games at Wimbledon.
So hence the analogy some up some down.
Also read a good piece about recruiting and attracting talent into the industry and how hard people or working to make a career of choice,having worked in the industry and now recruiting for the same,it is a great business to be involved with.
You can be proud of the business and take pride in it,be passionate and smile that is what the clients wants and the benefits will come,be positive it will show and your career will prosper.
Anyway now waiting family to return after some being away for a few days in Cornwall and Shropshire,then its Park Run tomorrow,then officiate at the athletics club meeting,MC later in the day at the swim gala and then Sunday the athletics club next round of the endurance league in sunny Macclesfield.

Well another week has flown by and despite the weather it was positive.

On another note my family all 4 of us did a 5k race last night at a National Trust venue nr Manchester called Dunham Massey,I as usual was last family member home but the youngest daughter did another PB taking nearly 30 seconds of her previous best,so great news and well done.

So another busy week concludes with 3 offers made and accepted,a great testimonial from a candidate placed at one gorgeous hotel and lot’s more happening in the big bad world that is recruitment,of course one other important fact paid the VAT bill !!
So another busy week next week with lot’s of great candidates and clients meeting up to discuss new roles and also looking at doing another fell/trial run,should really be fell as I think that is what may happen on this one,it is calle “Hot Foot Up Moel Famau”,if you know Moel Famau I can tell you now it won’t be me hot footing more like crawling,just need to tell myself I can do it.
