Restaurant Manager

£30,000 basic salary plus up to £4,000 per year in tips

This is not a standard “run the rota and lock up” role.

We are supporting a successful and well-established countryside pub and restaurant just outside Chester that is known for fresh food, stunning surroundings, and a strong local following. The business is already performing well and is now looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to help take it to the next level.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be trusted to run the restaurant day to day, lead the front-of-house team, and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with senior management and the kitchen team to drive standards, service, and performance across the restaurant. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and genuinely cares about hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, organise, and motivate the front-of-house team
• Create rotas in a cost-effective and efficient way
• Ensure an excellent guest journey at all times
• Oversee restaurant operations and support bar management
• Set and maintain service standards and procedures
• Work alongside the events and sales team to deliver functions and events
• Collaborate with senior management to drive business performance

About You

• At least 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager
• Experience in a fast-paced, fresh food environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Good knowledge of health and safety and risk assessments
• Able to work on your own initiative and lead from the front
• A genuine passion for the hospitality industry
• Own transport required due to the location of the property
• Experience in large functions is advantageous but not essential.
