NEW OPENING Deputy General Manager

We are supporting the reopening of a much-loved country pub in North Wales that is set to relaunch in 2026 following a thoughtful and sympathetic restoration.
This is a rare opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of its journey and play a key role in bringing a well-known community pub back to life. We are looking for an experienced Deputy General Manager with energy, personality, and a genuine passion for people and hospitality.
The Role
As Deputy General Manager, you will support the General Manager in leading a large, fast-paced team and ensuring the pub delivers outstanding service, food, and atmosphere every day. This is a hands-on leadership role where attitude, enthusiasm, and team engagement are just as important as experience.
You will be a visible presence on the floor, guiding the team, setting standards, and helping create a welcoming environment for both locals and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business
- Lead, motivate, and support a large front-of-house team
- Help set and maintain high standards of service and hospitality
- Act as a role model for company values and culture
- Support training, development, and performance management of the team
- Ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Assist with operational and compliance requirements
About You
- Previous experience in a similar hospitality management role is essential
- At least 5 years’ experience within a busy hospitality environment
- Experience managing or supervising teams
- Outgoing, positive, and people-focused personality
- Strong work ethic and hands-on leadership style
- Genuine passion for food, drink, and hospitality
