I made the decision to see if we could develop the temp market about 6/8 weeks ago.My colleague and I John devised a plan to see how we could offer something a little different,not a lot just a little.Anyway we have been able to get up to about 6 chefs working 40 plus hours on the timesheets,also had a couple of interim management roles become available through sales calls and having people available.Well since this went well in the last week,we had one clients tell us they found someone directly so the temp chef not needed after the guy doing one day,we then get to the tricky part of now trying to speak with the client about payment,radio silence of course.The interim management roles,I believe the candidates that agreed they would be available may now be half way up Everest or I think that is what it must be as phones switched off no response to text messages etc.
Anyway another week has started and we go again,the joys of hospitality recruitment at it’s finest !!
