Up to £32,000 per annum
About The Hotel
The hotel features 136 individually styled rooms and is part of a respected UK group of boutique and character hotels, which prides itself on warm hospitality, high standards of comfort and delivering memorable guest experiences.
The Role
You will lead a front-of-house team which consists of a team of 6 reception staff and 4 night-porters, ensuring smooth, efficient and guest focused operations across arrivals, departures, guest services and night shift transitions. You’ll act as a key ambassador of the hotel’s brand and ethos ensuring the highest level of customer service and satisfaction is achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coaching the reception and night-porter teams to deliver consistent, high-quality guest service.
 - Planning staff rotas, monitoring performance and managing training/development.
 - Ensuring check-in/check-out flows are efficient and guest issues are resolved promptly and professionally.
 - Liaising with other departments (housekeeping, events, food & beverage, maintenance) to ensure guest needs are met.
 - Upholding the hotel’s standards, brand values and hospitality culture.
 - Monitoring front desk KPIs, guest feedback, service recovery and making improvements where needed.
 - Acting as the senior point of contact on site for front-of-house outside of normal working hours (as required).
 
You will bring
- Significant prior experience in a front-of-house leadership role within in a hotel setting
 - Strong team leadership and people development skills.
 - Excellent communication, customer service mindset and a knack for anticipating guest needs.
 - Flexibility (including night shift oversight), a hands-on approach and strong organisational skills.
 - A commitment to delivering memorable guest experiences in a boutique/historic hotel context.
 - Comfort using hotel front-desk software and standard office systems.
