Head Chef – near St Helens

Presently working with this leisure client operating leisure and golf near St Helens area who are recruiting for a Head Chef to join their operation.

This is a great role with the involvement of creating menus and dishes and be involved in all of the key aspects of the kitchen.

This is a well known and established venue in the local area and offers food for the operation which includes breakfast items,light bites as well as full restaurant based in the venue.

The business operates 7 days a week with the restaurant only open for dinner Thursday to Sunday and then offers lunch service all week including a tradtional Sunday lunch.

The food is generally fresh and caters for the various guests offering from snacks to full service and also caters for events,weddings etc for up to 150 guests.

You will be working with a small team most of the time and then supported when required by bank staff and agency when needed for events and weddings.

You as the Head Chef will ceate a positive work environment for the kitchen and interacting with the front of house department.

As Head Chef you will lead the team, ensuring the food is served to the highest of quality, all health & safety aspects of the business are compliant & undertake the training/recruitment of future kitchen team members ranging from KP’s to all levels of chefs in the kitchen.

The client requires the chef to work 40 hours per week over 5 days, shift start times can vary depending on the needs and requirements of the business,though during winter the hours can be limited due to the nature of the operation,so time can be taken back in lieu.
